Be it minor and small motor starter panels or advanced heavy-duty motor control centers, Spike Electric provides fabrication services to a variety of control panels. We have an excellent team of engineers and designers on board with us who will develop designs as per the needs of the customer requirements or drawings provided by the customer.
Our team of engineers and designers will work in close coordination with the customer to deliver a customized control panel that perfectly meets all the specifications and requirements suggested by him. Through this process, we ensure that customer requirements are perfectly met, no matter how large or small the project is.
Here’s an example.
Recently, Spike Electric worked on a project that involved the development of a custom panel design for ventilation control. What was our goal? We had to design a control panel that enables the individual monitoring of several exhaust fans within the large business facility while also ensuring that all safety regulations are followed.
The engineers and designers in our panel shop got to work. They constantly communicated with the client, asked about the specifications the client needed and crafted several panels until a proper design was developed. Following this phase of designing and developing came the actual fabrication part- the assembly phase.
Product Application
The custom designs consisted of several parts. To control the function of the exhaust fans in each part of the building, motor starters were employed. Since each fan was integrated with a motor starter, we were able to achieve control over each fan. Each motor was given an operator device that was meant to provide signals to the motor starters. When the corresponding motor starter is turned on, the operator device will light up. To enable the ON Delay timing for every motor circuit, 8 timing relays were provided in the design. For safety against overload and short circuits, fuse blocks and miniature circuit breakers were employed for the control circuits.
While a lot of work went into designing and assembling the parts for a control panel of this size, the operation is pretty simple. Every exhaust fan can be monitored and regulated independently with the help of illuminated operator devices, motor starters, and control relays. The enclosure door consists of a keyed switch to ensure the safe functioning of the control panel. This keyed switch helps to swap control of the exhaust fans into three different modes-
OFF, automatic, and manual override.
